Canon Philippines Champions Inclusion at Happy Walk 2026

Canon Marketing Philippines joined hundreds of advocates, families, and volunteers at Happy Walk 2026, the annual celebration organized by the Down Syndrome Association of the Philippines (DSAPI). Held at the SMX Convention Center at SM Mall of Asia, the Manila leg of the event drew around 8,000 participants in a vibrant show of solidarity, awareness, and community.



Our people showed up, and they didn't come alone. Canon employee volunteers brought their families and friends along for the walk.


Canon volunteers and their loved ones came ready to walk, cheer, and celebrate the Down Syndrome community at Happy Walk 2026.


Walking the Talk on Inclusion

Anchored on inclusion and acceptance, Happy Walk 2026 brought together families, students, and volunteers to celebrate the abilities of individuals with Down Syndrome and champion equal opportunities in every space. Canon executives, employees, and their families were on the ground as active participants, not just sponsors, adding to the energy and meaning of the day.

Rochelle Plata Appointed Assistant Director and Chief Finance Officer

 



Canon Marketing (Philippines), Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Rochelle Plata as Assistant Director and Chief Finance Officer (CFO). She succeeds Rosalia Baldorado, who recently retired after a distinguished career with the company.  In her new role Rochelle will lead the Finance and Accounting function, playing a key role in strengthening financial governance and supporting sustainable business growth.


In her new role, Plata will focus on enhancing financial planning and analytics to enable sound, data-driven decision-making, strengthening governance, internal controls, and regulatory compliance, and building a high-performing finance organization through streamlined operations, optimized resource management, and continued people development.

Canon Philippines Launches Canon PhotoMarathon 2026, Camera Prizes Up for Grabs

 


Canon Marketing Philippines, Inc. brought together media partners, brand ambassadors, and the professional creator community to recognize shared milestones and usher in a new chapter of creative possibilities during its annual Thanksgiving Celebration held on January 27, 2026. The event also marked the official launch of Canon PhotoMarathon 2026.

The Canon PhotoMarathon, a photography competition originally launched in Singapore in 2003, has since grown into a regional phenomenon across multiple countries, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Now in its 19th year in the Philippines, the Canon PhotoMarathon continues its legacy, challenging participants to create compelling visuals under time pressure and based on assigned themes. 

This year, Canon PhotoMarathon 2026 also spotlights its video category, which encourages participants to express their stories through motion, sound, and narrative. 

The competition, scheduled for April 18, 2026, at BGC Amphitheater, Taguig City, is open to professionals, hybrid creators, camera club members, students, and photography enthusiasts. Various categories are also open to non-Canon users.

  2. Create an account.

  3. Go to the Events tab and select the Canon PhotoMarathon banner.

  4. Tap Register and wait for the confirmation prompt.

Canon Philippines Celebrates Uncompromised Storytelling with EOS R6 Mark III Launch

 

Canon Marketing Philippines, Inc. gathered media professionals and creators for “Uncompromised Storytelling in Every Frame”, the launch of the Canon EOS R6 Mark III held on November 21, 2025, at Gallio, Aseana City. The event underscored Canon’s commitment to supporting the Philippines’ expanding creator community.



The EOS R6 Mark III delivers three key features for modern creators. The 7K 60p RAW video recording and EOS R series-first 3:2 Open Gate mode make it easy to capture content that works seamlessly across different formats and platforms. The camera also pairs a sharp 32.5-megapixel sensor with 40 fps shooting, grabbing up to 150 shots in rapid succession. Lastly, the pre-continuous shooting feature grabs up to 20 frames before pressing the shutter, helping creators capture moments proactively.

Canon Philippines Strengthens Support for Philippine Red Cross to Aid Relief and Recovery Efforts in Visayas and Mindanao

Canon Marketing (Philippines), Inc., together with Canon Business Machines (Philippines), Inc. (CBMP) and Canon Business Service Centre Phils., Inc. (CBSC), has extended support to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) to bolster ongoing relief and recovery efforts in Visayas and Mindanao. The donation was personally turned over to Philippine Red Cross Chairman Richard Gordon and Secretary General Gwendolyn Pang, underscoring Canon’s continued commitment to stand alongside Filipino communities during times of hardship.
