In a powerful display of unity and commitment to sustainability, over 300 Monde Nissin employees took part in SILAKBO 2025 (Sikad-Lakad-Takbo), an annual fun run held at South Evozone, Nuvali. Monde Nissin team members embody their corporate mission of 'Making Better Possible' as they participate in the 17th annual SILAKBO fun run, supporting the S3R2 Foundation's watershed protection initiatives in Santa Rosa, Laguna.

Organized by the Save Silang Santa Rosa River (S3R2) Foundation in collaboration with the City Government of Santa Rosa, Laguna, and Nuvali, SILAKBO 2025 is the organization’s flagship advocacy campaign dedicated to protecting the Silang-Santa Rosa Sub-watershed and promoting sustainable development practices in the region.

As one of the key partners, Monde Nissin mobilized hundreds of its employees to join the initiative, bringing its advocacy to life and further reflecting its corporate mission of "Making Better Possible."

This is what
‘Making Better Possible’ really means.”

Proceeds from the event will go directly towards S3R2’s efforts for watershed protection, water quality monitoring, and tree planting activities they hope to organize in line with their mission.

Beyond promoting fitness and camaraderie, SILAKBO is a platform for rallying the public and private sectors toward sustainable and inclusive action. The event underscores the powerful role that businesses such as Monde Nissin play in making a tangible difference for both people and the planet.

Monde Nissin Empowers Farmers with Launch of 5 Ground Up Stores Across the Philippines

The newly launched Batiao Store marks one of the five agricultural cooperatives established by Monde Nissin Corporation as part of their 45@45 Sari-Sari Store Enablement Program to empower Filipino farmers

The initiative, part of Monde Nissin’s 45th anniversary celebration, aims to build a more inclusive and sustainable supply chain by directly sourcing raw materials from local producers. The cooperatives—focused on cacao (South Cotabato), sugar (Bago City, Negros Occidental), garlic (Bacarra, Ilocos Norte), shallots (Nansuagao, Ilocos Sur), and eggs (Davao City)—serve as both suppliers and community-based distributors, creating much-needed livelihood opportunities in underserved regions.

“Malaki ang naitulong ng programang ito para sa mga farmers tulad namin, sapagkat nabigyan kami ng karagdagang kabuhayan. Maraming salamat sa Monde Nissin,” said Mency Tolentino, Chairperson of the Bacarra Zanjera Irrigators Multipurpose Cooperative in Ilocos Norte.

(This program has been a great help to us farmers, as it’s given us additional livelihood. Much thanks to Monde Nissin.)

These cooperatives are not just supply sources—they are also launching cooperative-managed stores that serve as primary distribution hubs in their communities, improving market access and minimizing logistical burdens for rural farmers.

Monde Nissin representatives and cooperative members gather at the Hacienderos Agrarian Reform Cooperative in Negros Occidental, one of five cooperatives focused on sugar production in Bago City.

“Tinupad ng Monde Nissin ang matagal na naming pangarap na magkaroon ng malaking tindahan dito sa Bago. Hindi na kailangang lumayo ng aming mga farmer sapagkat kami na mismo ang magiging distributor ng mga produkto dito sa aming sakahan, dagdag pa dito ang dagdag income para sa aming mga farmer,” shared Noel Benjamin, Chairman of the Hacienderos Agrarian Reform Cooperative in Negros Occidental.

(Monde Nissin has helped fulfill our long-standing dream of having a large store here in Bago. Now, since we’re distributing our farms’ own products, we no longer have to travel too far, and we even get additional income.)

The 45@45 program embodies Monde Nissin’s corporate aspiration of Making Better Possible—a philosophy that champions not just business innovation but also the well-being of people and planet. By fostering partnerships with agricultural communities and enabling them to become key players in the value chain, Monde Nissin is redefining what inclusive growth looks like in the modern food industry.

Cooperative members and Monde Nissin representatives cut the ceremonial ribbon at one of the five ground-up agricultural cooperatives established across the Philippines, showcasing the company's commitment to "Making Better Possible" as part of its 45th anniversary celebration

“The point of this program is to uplift Filipino farmers and strengthen the foundations of our food system,” said Atty. Olive Misa, Corporate and Government Affairs Head of Monde Nissin. “We’re proud to celebrate our 45 years of serving Filipino families by investing in their future.”

As Monde Nissin continues its journey of purpose-driven growth, the 45@45 initiative stands as a testament to how companies can empower communities and pave the way for a more resilient and equitable future, one cooperative at a time.

MONDE NISSIN, HAPINOY CELEBRATE FIRST BATCH OF SARI-SARI UPSKILLING PROGRAM GRADUATES

Monde Nissin Corporation in partnership with social enterprise Hapinoy, celebrated the graduation of its first batch of beneficiaries from its "45@45 Sari-sari Store Enablement Program." This is a continuation of Monde Nissin’s initiatives for its 45th anniversary on upskilling and supporting sari-sari store owners nationwide building up its network of KaSulongs or Kakampi sa Pagsulong ng Hangarin (KaSulong sa Komunidad – Enhancing Livelihoods).

The program upskilled 40 existing sari-sari stores through hands-on training modules conducted by Hapinoy called “Hapiskwela”. Monde Nissin offered packages that included inventory grants, store merchandise, and marketing materials to the beneficiary sari-sari stores.

Olive Misa, Head of Corporate and Government Affairs shared during a celebration event held at the Monde Nissin office.

(We would like to thank you all for your support and hard work in completing your training to become sari-sari store kasulongs of Monde Nissin. Our collaboration will not end today as our sales team is here to guide our store owners continuously.)

(We would like to thank our participants for their hard work during the Hapiskwela programs. We hope you can take what you’ve learned to achieve your and your families’ dreams and further grow your businesses.)

Graduates from the program also shared their experience with the three Hapiskwela modules, which were held online. Some beneficiaries set up their shops despite the concerns of friends and families and without formal training.

(It’s a huge deal for me to have the opportunity to be guided on how to set up my own business. We were given training and seminars on managing cash flow. We must learn how to manage cash in- and outflows to avoid our stores losing profit.)

Monde Nissin also partnered with Puregold and Angat Buhay Foundation to provide trainingopportunities to more than 200 sari-sari store vendors affected by Typhoon Kristine in Naga City. By giving participants seminars on financial management, inventory control, and customer engagement strategies, participants were equipped with the knowledge and skills to bounce back from the typhoon and sustain their livelihoods.

According to Jazzy Centeno, Group Key Accounts Manager, these programs are part of Monde Nissin’s goal to empower sari-sari store owners to advance their livelihoods.

“It’s all part of our commitment to Making Better Possible. Kung may tinulungan kang isang tindahan, lahat ng tindahan sa komunidad, lalong lalago na akmang-akma sa atin sa Monde Nissin bilang isang KaSulong,” she said. (If we’re able to help one store, all the stores within a community grow, which is what we at Monde Nissin want as a KaSulong.)

Monde Nissin's dedication to Making Collective Action Possible equips entrepreneurs with tools, knowledge, and opportunities to grow their businesses, fueling progress and resilience in local communities nationwide
